Moore County Governmental Offices will close today at 4:00 pm. A
decision on hours of operations for Wednesday (2/12/14) will be made
later tonight and published on the county website.
A declaration of State of Emergency has been signed by Moore County
Board of Commissioners Chairman Larry Caddell and will go into effect
as of 5:00 pm today (2/11/14).
The Emergency Operations Center has been activated and will be staffed
for the duration of the Winter Weather event. The EOC number is 910-
947-6317.
Citizens are urged to stay off the roadways and take the winter weather
event seriously. Please make preparations to be without power for
extended periods of time due to downed trees and power lines.
