The mission of the Northern Moore
Family Resource Center is to encourage the development of strong families,
healthy children, and caring communities by matching resource with needs in the

Disaster Services addresses the critical
human needs of shelter, clothing, food, and other essentials to victims of
disaster. No distinction is made for services provided on a client’s income,
race, color, creed, sex, etc. and all American Red Cross disaster services are
free to the community. Most of our clients are families at risk of
homelessness, hardship and/or a transition to poverty without assistance after
a disaster.

The Salvation Army of Moore County
meets human needs in the community through social services programs, Christmas
for Moore, Fruit Lady, League of Marcy, food and clothing assistance. They also provide financial assistance to
include, utilities, rent, prescriptions, dental, and eye wear/eye exams. During
Christmas season, The Salvation Army helps to provide Christmas gifts for 155
children and seniors.

Provides food and clothing as well as
emergency financial assistance with utilities, rent and heating fuel. They have
expanded their Employment and Transportation Services to assist those seeking
additional employment or better jobs as well as providing financial assistance
with expenses which might present barriers to employment. Exceptions are now regularly made for medical
and dental services which may arise unexpectedly.
