Wanting to help with the recovery efforts in Moore County? Consider these options…

Donations

Monetary donations to recognized local disaster relief organizations is also the fastest, most flexible, and most effective method of assisting. Organizations on the ground know what items and quantities are needed, often buy in bulk with discounts and, if possible, purchase through area businesses which supports economic recovery.

Moore County is referring all supply related donations to Sandhills/Moore Coalition for Human Care Incorporated (S/M CHC) at 1500 W. Indiana Ave. Southern Pines NC 28387.  Items needed within the next 2-3 days: non-perishable food, socks, underwear, blankets and toiletries.
Additionally, all Moore County residents needing assistance as a result of Hurricane Matthew should go to their client service location at Sandhills/Moore Coalition for Human Care 1500 W. Indiana Ave. Southern Pines NC 28387. Photo Identification is required.
Volunteering

Moore County is unable to use spontaneous unaffiliated volunteers; however NC Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (VOAD) member agencies welcome the efforts of volunteers.
