Winter Weather Dec 2018 Press Release #1

Due to the potential for inclement weather to impact Moore County, the following modifications have been made regarding Moore County Governmental departments, activities and events:

1.​Moore County Solid Waste Landfill and Carthage Solid Waste Compactor Site will open at 10:00 A.M. Monday December 11, 2018.  All other sites will be closed Monday December 10, 2018 and evaluated for operations for Tuesday December 11, 2018

2.          Moore County Transportation Services will not operate Monday December 10, 2018 or ​Tuesday December 11, 2018.

3.          Moore County Department of Aging Senior Enrichment Center Activities, Home Delivered ​Meals, In-Home Aid visits, and Diners Club are cancelled for Monday December 10, 2018 ​and Tuesday December 11, 2018.

4.         ​All other Moore County Governmental Office will operate on an 8am to 5pm schedule ​Monday December 10, 2018 and Tuesday December 11, 2018.  Non-emergency employees​​should follow this schedule when reporting for work unless otherwise directed.

Fire, Rescue, EMS, and Law Enforcement operations continue throughout the county without interruption.

Please do not call the EOC or 911, to get road conditions or to arrange transport to or from work. 

To report power outages contact your power company directly.

Please contact the NC Department of Transportation or your local municipal Public Works Department concerning road clearing operations.
